A Therapeutic Support Group For Family Members of Those with a Serious Mental Health Issue/Illness
Offering support, information, coping skills and hope to those with family members struggling with mental health issues such as major depression, bipolar disorder, hallucinations, mood swings, or schizophrenia.
Growing up with or living with a loved one who has a serious mental illness is an experience that can be isolating, exhausting, and frightening. The impact can be felt in all areas of functioning. In this group, we will build a safe, therapeutic environment. We will offer fellowship with others and emotional and practical support, as well as strategies for self-care. The group will run for 12 weeks with an option to re-start for an additional 12 weeks.
