Since 1972 the Women's Therapy Center has offered women the chance to heal and lead more self-determined and productive lives. Since its inception, WTC has provided counseling to more than 300 women per year who could neither afford mainstream services nor were eligible for welfare. We help women heal from verbal, physical or sexual abuse. We counsel women who have lost a spouse or partner, or who are struggling with depression or anxiety. We assist women to learn how to live with a recent medical diagnosis. We support women who are struggling with serious life transitions such as losing a job or loved one, or are entering into recovery for substance abuse.
We are seeking a psychotherapist to join our dynamic clinical staff. The person we hire will work among clinicians with a wide range of expertise including psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory, gestalt therapy, EMDR, cognitive behavioral treatment, relational-cultural theory (Stone Center), and mindfulness meditation. Requirements include master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field, plus at least two years of post-master's clinical experience. The position entails up to 10 hours per week of client contact, participation in staff meetings, and participation in group and individual supervision.
Experienced clinicians, clinicians of color, clinicians who can run groups, and bilingual clinicians are especially encouraged to apply.
