Lisa Jordan is an associate at Berner Klaw and Watson LLP, a boutique law firm specializing in all aspects of family law, including adoptions, child custody, divorce, domestic violence, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and GLBT relationship agreements and dissolution agreements in Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Lisa has recently completed Advanced Practice Issues Training in Parenting Coordination - an emerging alternative dispute resolution discipline for high-conflict custody cases - through the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She has prior experience working for the Philadelphia Family Court in various departments, including the Child Support Establishment Unit, Bureau of Accounts and the Adoptions Unit.
Lisa received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden and a bachelor’s degree from Temple University in English and Secondary Education. She is current co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Family Law Program Committee and serves on the Executive Committee of the Nicholas A. Cipriani Family Law Inn of Court. In addition, she served as a Team Leader for the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Advancing Civics Education program through which teams of lawyers volunteer an hour each week to teach eighth graders in the Philadelphia Public School system. She is also a member of the Family Law Sections of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. Lisa serves as Secretary to the board of Buildabridge International, an arts education and intervention organization through which trained volunteers bring healing to traumatized children through the arts. She is also a volunteer lawyer for various organizations, including Volunteers for the Indigent and Welcoming Center for New Pennsylvanians. Lisa received a Pro Bono Role of Honor Award for Exemplary Pro Bono Work in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
