What is the Women's Therapy Center

We are a private; not-for-profit organization providing therapy to adult women.   As a feminist agency, our goal is to empower women to live their best, healthiest and most productive lives.   We want to empower adult women to find the therapist and services that best meet their needs.  In order to do this, we assist each person individually and personally.

Our services include:

  • Individual psychotherapy
  • Group psychotherapy
  • Couples therapy (both heterosexual and lesbian)
  • Workshops and trainings
  • Educational seminars and trainings for professionals
  • Consultations to professional and potential clients
  • Clinical supervision
  • Practicum placements sites

WTC works with women 18 years of age and older.  About one-third of our clients identify as racial/ethnic-minority women and about one-third identify as lesbian or bisexual.  Women come to WTC to work on a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationships concerns, identity, difficult life transitions, and eating issues.  Please see “Clinical Services” above for our areas of specialization.

Women’s Therapy Center therapists are masters and doctoral level psychologists, social workers and counselors with clinical experience beyond their degree requirements as well as special expertise working with women and their problems. All staff is involved in on-going professional development.
